Movie time.

Saturday, April 9th, 2011

I had my wisdom tooth extracted this morning. Now my cheeks are swollen a little bit but thank goodness I feel no pain. I was looking forward to real puffy cheek and agonizing pain.

However, I do feel so tired though. As if I’ve been beaten up. Maybe the cutting and the drilling and the pulling out part of the body causes some sort of shock. I’m fine now though, relaxing and watching a movie while I’m typing this. Yeah, I’m the multi tasking sort. I haven’t been updating here much that’s why. Been too tired after work to do so.

I’m watching ‘Jodha Akbar’ for the 4th – 5th time. I love the songs, the actors, the settings the Indian bride costumes, even the plus size bridesmaid dresses looks real amazing. I even got the movie on my Ipod and am going to convert the video to a file watchable on my Samsung phone. :P I’m a big fan of the movie.

Well, glad the day went well so far. :)

Anxious.

Monday, January 24th, 2011

These past few months has been dark for me. I was depressed a lot. Especially when it is winter like now. As I have mentioned in my earlier post, today is the day when I meet with a homeopathy practitioner. Going to try out natural remedies to overcome what ever I am dealing with right now.

Though at times I do feel like nothing a shopping therapy would not cure. Get a payday cash advance and pay back all the debts that’s been worrying me. Then buy the necessary things that I’ve always been wanting. :p Well, that would work, but I need something that is more permanent.

To be honest, I’m feeling anxious. Been feeling anxious about the meeting for days. Now that it getting closer, the more anxious I become. God help me.

Doctor’s appointment.

Saturday, January 22nd, 2011

I’ve an appointment with my doctor this coming Monday. After so long I’ve managed to make an appointment with her. She was off on a holiday. But it would be at around 7 pm in the evening. It is better than no appointment at all.

Thinking about the doctor, I thought about how good it would be to have a degree or diploma in health care. There are healthcare jobs everywhere. Well, human beings are not much different around the world, so your degree, or knowledge would be very useful in any part of the world. Unlike my law degree. You can only practice in the country you took exams in since each country has her own laws and regulations.

Well, just a thought. I’m looking forward to the meeting though. Hopefully it will go well this Monday.

Food guilt.

Tuesday, January 18th, 2011

For those who are constantly trying to get on track with their diet, they would know how ‘food guilt’ feels like. It happens right after you had a hearty meal or that favourite snack that you couldn’t say no to.  Just a little you say at first, and before you realized it, it would be too late and the guilt would follow suit.

Would trying out the best proven fat burner in the market help me curb the urge to ‘pig out’? If it would, I think I might need one. :)

Belly dance class.

Thursday, December 2nd, 2010

I was invited to a Belly dance class by an acquaintance. The class will be on every Tuesday evening for an hour. I said, YES, right away when she asked whether I would be interested or not. I’m doing Belly dancing by myself with the help of videos. To go to a class would be a wonderful change. I’m a little nervous but looking forward to it.

Despite what some say about belly dancing help reduce belly fat, the dance do not really do that. Well, perhaps a little. But you actually need to have a little ‘belly’ to do the belly dance. That’s what gives it the appeal. When you shimmy, a little fat must jiggle. LOL Well, funny when I imagine my fat going all jiggly. One thing for sure it won’t create bigger muscles like lifting weights would. I need my muscles to be leaner. I wish, just like bodybuilding supplements to help increase muscle mass, there’s some sort of supplement to help make musle leaner. Years of lifting heavy things, I have quite big arm muscles.*sigh*

If nothing comes up that needs the class to be canceled, then I’d be going for the first class next week. Yippie!

Hair talk.

Tuesday, September 21st, 2010

Looking at the mirror in front of me next to my laptop, I just wonder whether I should just let it grow long or it is time for a visit to the salon. The longest lenght of hair was down to my waist when I was 19.  I had to keep my hair short due to hair loss problem. Now that I see that it is under control, perhaps I should grow it long again.

When I had a problem with hair loss, I turned to the internet to find for the solution. That’s when I found this cool forum – talk.hairboutique.com. It’s where ladies (and gents) who are concern about their hairs hang out, share informations, hair news, and solutions. It’s the place where I found out about vatika coconut hair oil, the benefit of tea tree oil shampoo, and other natural home remedies.

I guess it’s time for me to hang out more on that forum again if I want to find information on how to keep my hair long, strong and healthy. :)

Addiction detoxification.

Thursday, September 9th, 2010

Living in moderation is the way to go. Being addicted to anything can be a bad thing regardless of what one is addicted to. Even when when somebody is addicted to eating can be dangerous yet alone being addicted to drugs. Reading about the various methods of drug rehabilitation, it is a little bit harsh. Like the cold turkey method where one will be locked in a room alone and let to suffer the withdrawal until he or she no longer has the cravings.

However, nowadays there are more and more humane and safe way to overcome addiction. One of them is opiate detox. As explained on the rapiddetoxlasvegas.com website, the method for opiate detoxification that they actually uses advanced medical technique where the withdrawal process of the patient is speed up under anesthesia. I suppose this way, the patient wouldn’t have to go through all the pains of physical withdrawal yet get rid of their addiction quicker.

It is all good that we have such advance humane medical techniques nowadays, but in my opinion, nothing beats, ‘prevention is the best medicine’. Staying away from addictive substances is the best way to go.

Even skinny people have it.

Thursday, July 15th, 2010

One of the few websites that I frequently visit is Yahoo Answers. Ask questions and help people by answering their questions. I came across a question asking, how come skinny people have cellulite. Well, I used to be one of those people who thought that only chubby and obese people have them, until I saw a skinny friend who was having it as well. Interesting.

I believe many people don’t really know what cellulites actually are, that’s why, just like how I was, they only related cellulite to fat people. Cellulite is actually collections of fat that push against the connective tissue beneath the skin which makes the skin looks lumpy. Though of course chances of having cellulites is higher when one is obese, but being skinny does not mean the person doesn’t have any body fat at all.

Factors that contribute to whether or not a person has it or how much or how visible it is are genes, age, amount of fat in body, gender and thickness of skin.

So I suppose that explains why they use slim models to promote cellulite cures on commercials. Since it isn’t impossible for slim, skinny people to face cellulite problem as well. :)

Post your weightloss product review.

Saturday, May 29th, 2010

Being a consumer that tries to shop smart, I have often checked out reviews by other consumers before I decided on buying anything. So much so, I can say that my shopping experiences are good most of the time. In return, I also like to  contribute my reviews of products that I’ve tried, on review sites and also online shopping websites.

The same goes when it comes to weight loss products, if not more important, to read reviews of the products before you buy. There are various review sites out there, but the ones I like most are those that allow real users to give their opinions on the products. Just like what getdietsolutions.com is doing. You can read loads of weighloss product reviews not only by professionals but also users. If you have any opinions on any weightloss products reviewed on the website, you can post your opinion directly on the review page. As an example you can click here for lipozene information and check it out for yourself.

Be generous to share your knowledge, you may be helping many others in making a better choice.

Tamanu oil.

Tuesday, May 18th, 2010

I suffer from extreme flaky dry skin for years. Started to become rather bad ever since I gave birth to my daughter. Since then I’ve tried many products to help moisturize my skin, however to no avail. I have started to take zinc supplement not too long ago and finally I can see some improvement on my skin. Nevertheless, I am still quite open to new skin care products, mainly natural ones, in the hopes to have healthier looking skin.

For the first time today I read about a natural oil called Vanuatu Tamanu Oil. A natural oil that are collected from dry Tamanu fruit kernel. Though Tamanu trees grows inland but they thrive abundantly in Vanuatu’s coastal areas. It is the  kernel of fruits beared by Tamanu trees in coastal areas that provide the best Tamanu oil.

Tamanu oil is said to have the ability to help regenerate skin, thus effective in treating acne and acne scars, scars in general, stretch marks, psoriasis, eczema, sunburn, blisters, dry scaly skin, age spots, herpes sores, etc.

It also said to be able to treat various form of skin infections – ringworm, dermaphytosis of the scalp or beard, athlete’s foot, and itching – and also infected wounds due to the Canophyllol (anti bacterial) and the lactone (anti biotics) content.

The list of tamanu oil benefits goes on. So if you are interested to read more on this you can check out this link:
