I’ve been tempted to just buy a house-of-blues guitar course dvd. But the limited time stopped me. When can I really practice it constantly? just one of those instances when I miss being a SAHM — I had more time back then to even go for Japanese lessons and pick up the guitar to pick on it once in a while.

Perhaps when I succeed in finding a job that requires less amount of work time but about the same income I’m getting. For now, at least I can enjoy this beautiful music.

On days when I felt a little down in the dumps I’d look around the internet, on all sorts of business sites – webhosting, South Korean clothes selling site, phoenix pool repair site, Kyoto traditional products site, and international day-cares – in the hope for some inspiration to come in. There were ‘light bulb lighting up’ moments.

A year ago I was talking about finding a job, and a year later I am talking about working for myself, I just wonder where I’d be a year from now on. Hopefully somewhere I would like to be.

It’s been a month since I started working at the new place and so far so good. Nothing to complain much about the place. There are pros and cons. I’ve started to get some changes done. Try to create a better working atmosphere with colleagues for example. Get them to join a private group for colleagues on facebook to discuss about work related and off work related things – go for drinks, hikes etc. Well, maybe later on try to get the bosses to agree on getting t-shirts with logo and engraved name tags for the employees as well. Well, that’s that about job and work place for now.

I want to enjoy my weekend. Hopefully both days would be clear, sunny beautiful days.

I started making video logs after watching one vlog after another vlog on youtube. I thought they were cool and wanted to make myself but then I’m not that brave enough to upload them on youtube. However, it would still be nice to watch them after a few years and see what progress I’ve made.

On those videos, I usually give a summary of what changes that had happened in my life and my hopes for the things that I want to happen or to come into my life. Then a year later I’d watch it again to see which wish or hope came true. It’s interesting really. I’m just imagining after 10 years I’d like to watch them all over again and see what changes happened (other than the wrinkles that is :S )

The only investment we have right now is insurance that is also a savings investment in case if we would surrender the policy after some years and forex. Hopefully one day we would get to check out annuity quote from some major companies out there and not to mention stocks as well. But gosh, does it seem a little far still. Until then, we need to save and save and slowly invest. That’s all we can do in our effort to get out of the rat race.

I just rounded up a few friends that are interested to check out the Zumba class. That too for once a week. But at least Zumba classes are easy to find, and it doesn’t matter if the instruction language is not in English. I’m not sure exactly when we will start but most probably when everyone is sure when they are able to join.

Well, other than sleeping, watching the occasional movie on weekends, and spend time with family, classes and learning new things are the few pleasures in life that I have. I’m thinking of doing some house decorating every weekend (or whenever I have time) – since I haven’t come about to decorate the flat much since we moved here and I work – nothing much, a few curtains, put up the few paintings and photo frames on the wall, change the switch plates to something cute or colourful, etc.

The weather is wonderful outside. Sunny and warm although a little windy. It’s great that we have a balcony. So we can sit outside, sip on coffee and enjoy the view of the city. Sunbathe even without having to be in public. I just love it.

So life is indeed good at the moment. Thank you God, thank you Universe!

I’ve been contemplating to sign up on YesJapan or not to sign up. I used their books – Japanese from Zero series – and love them a lot. But they just stopped at book 3 so far. When I asked them a few years ago they say that the books will come out in 2010. But 2010 came and left, still no sign of the books. However, the good news is, the writer of the book mentioned in YesJapan forum that book 4 will be published latest in June this year.

If they only publish up to book 4 then for book 5 I may still have to sign up. That is for $20 a month. We will see though, I don’t even know whether I would have the energy to sit in front of my pc everyday for that later on when we have more kids at the daycare.

Just how my countrymen would put it, ‘close, open, close,open’ your eyes and the weekend is over. Just like that. I don’t even remember what I did. All I know is that I didn’t have enough rest.
