Anniversary.

Sunday, August 23rd, 2009

My husband and I met each other about 11 years ago. But we have only been married for nearly 5 years. This coming September is our anniversary month.

So what do people usually get for their spouses on the 5th year?

Guess it’s wooden item or silverware. So I have to wait for another 55 years to get some beautiful princess cut loose diamonds ?? I think getting loose diamonds are great too in case if you would like to design your own jewellery. That’s what my mom used to do anyway with her precious stones.

Anyhow, I’d rather spent the entire day somewhere else only myself and my husband for our wedding anniversary because I think it is about time we go for our next honeymoon.

Hobby.

After getting a new camera, I find taking pictures more interesting than before. When before I never even bothered to read even the manual of my digital camera yet alone learn how to utilize the digital camera’s up to it’s fullest potential, I’ve spent quite sometime nowadays reading about the best ways of taking photos and taking hundreds of pictures just to get that one nice shot.

A couple of experimental water photography I did.

So taking pictures has become a new of hobby of mine these days. Going online and go online window shopping reading about and looking at clothes, shoes, furniture, tv stands, etc is interesting. But taking photos and getting good shots can indeed be satisfying. :)

Online window shopping.

With the existence of the internet, comes a new way of window shopping. Online window shopping. Something which I love to do sometimes. Shopping is therapeutic but just browsing at things at the shopping malls can be as therapeutic too I feel - makes me feel good just looking around most of the times.

Now, online window shopping too can be a relaxing thing. I love to browse and read about the latest gadgets, or products that has been long in the market yet I’ve never seen before. Products like the latest blackberry phone to sleeping aids like the bed wedges, all are interesting to see and read about.

According to some, technology may be a hassle, “the end of human civilization” (quote from “You’ve got mail”. :) ). But to me it is some sort of a blessing indeed being able to window shop without ending up with sore feet. :)

Looking for a job.

Friday, August 14th, 2009

Starting September I will be free to look for a job. However the type of job I’m looking for is something that is in a way flexible so that I can keep up with the house work at the same time. Where can I find such a job??

I need to keep myself occupied and at the same time able to save up some money for rainy days. Well it would nice to be able to save up for a new gadget or for one of those nice Vegas vacations.

Sure is isn’t easy to get back into the job market after years of not being in it. Not to mention in this economic crisis that we are in at the moment.

Nevertheless, I keep my chin up and look around more. Perhaps something good would come up. Never know till I look.

Can’t get enough of ‘em.

Following the advice of some people on a supplementary source of learning Japanese, I started to watch Animes and JDorama ( Japanese Dramas). At first I only watched Animes. But these past couple of weeks I’ve been checking out some JDoramas online. Now I really cannot get enough of them.

Currently watching all the 3 series of Gokusen. It’s really hard not to love the series.

Well, that’s not the so good part of it I think considering most of my free time nowadays goes into watching something online. But the good side of it, I’ve learnt new Japanese words and expressions.

Soon I need to get a new external hard drive too considering I’ve exhausted the space on my internal drive with all those Fansubbed JDorama series I’ve downloaded.

Yet, I still can’t get enough of them.

Can you learn Japanese through Animes??

Monday, August 3rd, 2009

According to a girl on youtube, yes. This is a video of her talking in Japanese.

I’ve been learning Japanese for a some months now, but I don’t understand what she’s talking about. LOL. Reading the information she provided, according to her, she watched Anime for 2.5 years and she can speak Japanese already. Makes me wonder why I’m toiling nearly every single day to stuff my brain with Japanese words that would leave my head within 5 minutes after I close the book? and it’s all over again for me, doing my revisions every other day. Perhaps it is my style that is wrong?

From now on I think I need to make it a point to watch an anime a day to get used to hearing Japanese. Not that I would stop learning through books and other sources, but just a supplementary method. Not to mention all those Japanese music that I should be listening to. If I can read about all sorts of things online from the daily online news, to Danze faucets reviews, to Japanese doll collection reviews, surely I can use the time to watch some animes or Japanese doramas. :)
