People buy air mattresses for various reasons. It can be for the extra guests, during pregnancy when the mother-to-be feels better to sleep on an air mattress, camping air mattress, etc.

Recently I browsed about learning to play musical instruments through videos. There is a website I saw where you can order special DVDs to help you learn to play violin- videoviolinlessons.com.

Although I do not learn to play violin, but I do learn to play the guitar through video lessons. I am progressing well and I enjoyed it. Couple of reasons why I chose to learn through videos. For one reason, I cannot afford to pay a private teacher to teach and the other reason is I need flexible practice time. Learning through videos are cheaper and I can learn anytime and anywhere. Well, anywhere where there’s a DVD player and a tv that is.

Now, the violin instructor featured on the videos is Mrs. Bridgette Seidel. She has been a violin instructor for years and is currently an instructor at the Academy of Music performance and a teacher at a couple of schools. The thing I like about the site is, you can always email Mrs. Seidel to ask any questions you may have regarding the violin lessons. The testimonials from students young and old are rather encouraging, but if you can always check out a sample video on the website before you decide to try out the DVDs.

I have heard the same advice from a few people I know when it comes to buy a certain car. “Don’t buy that car because you won’t be able to find the spare parts easily.” they’d say. Or “Even if you find the parts, it would cost you an arm and a leg to pay for them. ” Apparently they forget about the internet where it is possible to find just about anything and at a great bargain price.

I often get packages by post. About 5 % of the time my packages would get lost. I am not sure whether it got lost while on transit or because they were stolen from my mail box. You see, my mail box  is only big enough for ordinary mails or small packages. So most of the time my medium sized packages were just left right outside the mail box! Yeah, rather irresponsible or uncaring postman.

Winter is over, boots for winter are all packed up in boxes and stored away never to be seen till the next winter. However, I am thinking of getting a new pair of boots. For hiking. Looking forward to see how the forest looks like in Spring.

There are so many rape and murder cases that we’ve read or seen on the news. The latest one with much publication from CNN is  the murder and rape case of poor  Sandra Cantu from California.

The accused? A Sunday school teacher who also a mother of a 5 year old. How can she, a mother herself, an assumed religious person considering she teaches Sunday school, would do such a thing?? Though not convicted yet, it is scary to think that she may  have really done it. You simply cannot trust anyone can you? I’m a mother too, so maybe people cannot trust me as well. LOL… I wouldn’t blame anyone for not trusting me since I too won’t be able to trust anyone after reading this.

This kind of people are definitely sick in the head but they appear normal just like any conscious, law abiding, God fearing human being. You cannot detect them among the normal people because the kind of sickness they have are not easily detectable. I wish  “sick in the head” disease can be seen like skin disease, so either we can help cure quick or catch them and lock them away.

What ever it is, my heart really goes out to Cantu’s family and all the family of victims of such brutal killings.

Our homes just like our bodies, need to be taken care of, and at times need proper maintenance check to see that everything is working fine and well. But  how many of us really do, at least a yearly check, on the windows and roof of the house? Repair or even replace with energy efficient materials. One of the many reasons for some people for not doing so is because they cannot afford it.
