The perfect acne wash?

Tuesday, April 7th, 2009

When it comes to choosing any products for the skin, it isn’t any easy thing for me. All because I have a combination skin. Certain parts oily, some parts pretty dry.  The wrong sort of products can either cause extreme driness or horrible breakouts.  I used to think that I won’t have to worry about acne problems once I’m not in my teens. I was wrong.

Although I believe that one product may not suit everyone, but I would definitely try out those with very high ratings from so many people. Who knows, that the product may be the one for me too.

Just like when you buy any other products, when buying a special wash for acne, you should definitely read plenty of reviews and learn about the most popular product on the market. One of the sites that you may want to find infomartion from is acnewash.org. They collect reviews from users, make comparison on the prices, ingredients and the effectiveness and recommend the product that you may want to try. What ever it is, the choice is yours to make whether you want to try or not.

But as I said earlier, if you don’t try something out you’ll never know.

Home hobby - Ceramics & Pottery.

Tuesday, April 7th, 2009

Every Christmas we would get a home made ceramic Christmas tree decoration from a cousin. Both he and his mother make their own ceramic items like plates, mugs and cups. When ever I look at the ceramic gifts they gave, I wonder whether it is possible just for anyone to have pottery making as a hobby.

I used to think that  kilns (place where you burn the clay to harden it into ceramic) usually come in big sizes and would cost thousands of dollars. Making pottery a rather expensive hobby, so I thought. But as I saw on Amaco.com - a 90 year old leading supplier for pottery tools and materials - you can get a small studio sized ceramic pottery kiln with price starting from $20.95.

I imagine that pottery can be a great activity for young kids because it allows them to explore their vast imagination creating pottery crafts. Some of the pottery materials are actually rather safe for little children since there are lead free pottery glazes that are suitable for them.

For those who are just starting to do pottery as a hobby, it doesn’t take too much of money to start I think. Even the potter’s electric wheels‘ products and accessories starts with prices lower than $10.  Now as I look at the tools and materials for pottery, I begin to believe that just about anyone with the interest can have it as a hobby. Sure you need to spend some money but most hobbies do require money.

Perhaps one day when I have extra time in my hands I might try pottery myself.
