Write reviews and make friends.

Thursday, March 19th, 2009

A couple of months  ago I joined a social networking website that is one of its kind. It is not only a social networking site but a place where you can review about the hi-tech phone you use, the shiny cool car you drive, the chic restaurant you’ve tried out and so on. The aim is not only that people would be able to make use of the reviews you write, you would be able to get connected with people who share the same interests or have the same things that you own and agree with you on how wonderful those things are. (Wouldn’t it be great to have finally found someone who listens to and love the music album that only you and nobody else you know likes??). I think the website is something like a cross between a consumer review  and a social networking website.

The site that I’m talking about is acobay.com. Just like any other social networking sites, it is free to join. So basically you can write reviews about the things you have, the things you’ve tried - like a trip, a theme park ride, etc; the books you’ve read, the movies you’ve watched ,also about the places you’ve been to - for example like restaurants, hotels, resorts, and so on.

Now, if you are there just to read the reviews, it’s so easy to navigate through the website. They have categorized the thousands of items into networks, e.g. auto network, pet network, movie network and more. To make it easier, just do a little keyword search. I did a search for “Malaysia” and I came up with a list of results. Glad to read about how people who visited the country loved it.

The website is still new and in its beta stage so they are still building up on the content. But the contents are adding up fast. So if you have something in mind that you would like to buy, why not check out whether you can find reviews about it on the website?

Michael Jackson’s last performances?

Thursday, March 19th, 2009

I have read an article on the Telegraph.co.uk about Michael Joe Jackson’s upcoming performances in the O2 arena, London beginning this July. According to the article, M.J mentioned that the perfomances would be his “curtain call”. Now for those who happen to be lucky enough to be living in London or would be able to travel to London, Tickets to Michael Jackson’s concerts can be obtained online through this website: www.teamonetickets.com.

Now with that said… what about his other fans from other parts of the world?? I mean, if he really thinks that this is going to be his last ever concerts, why not try to make a world tour eh? He should know that he has fans from all over the world. Some of those may have the money to buy tickets to his concerts yet would not be able to afford the flight ticket and accommodations in London.

Anyway, to those who have no problems going, it may be the most awesome performance from M.J that they will remember for ever. At 51, does M.J still have the “magic” in him?? That’s what many would definitely look forward to.
