Death is unpredictable.
Monday, August 25th, 2008I came across this youtube video about a Hungarian football player, Miklós Fehér who died suddenly in a football match. He was given a yellow card, he smiled, then he bent over, and collapsed backwards and died. I know he was not the only football player who died a sudden death due to a heart failure. But just take this one as an example. It is shocking to watch somebody die right in front of your eyes. This happened 4 years ago when he was 25. Poor guy.
He was young and healthy. Well you assume an athlete must be healthy. One minute he was there smiling the next, he is lying dead on the ground.
I have a relative whom the doctor predicted to breathe his last breath last year the most. Due to his heart problems. Gave him 5 years max to live. That was about 6 years ago. He is 65 now. Yet, he defied the doctor’s prediction. Which doctor would have predicted that a young man of 25, healthy and strong would die of a heart attack?
Life is simply unpredictable. Really sad actually. We plan so much, we expect so much to happen in our lives. But who knows whether we live or die tomorrow. So I guess it is true that we all actually live for today.
