Why people are so into the US Presidency election?
Sunday, August 24th, 2008I joined this survey at dneero, asking what people think about Obama choosing Biden as his vice president if he wins the election. I am not really into politics, because regardless of what people say, I think Politics is a dirty game. You need to do just about anything to win. Give empty promises, be a hypocrite etc. Give people high hopes, but in the end they let you down. Perhaps not all, but enough to describe politician in general that way.
Though this is a presidency election in the U.S, it is widely spoken of all over the world. I once asked somebody who were talking about this topic to me. I plainly asked, “This is in the US, you are not a U.S citizen. What does the election in some other part of the world got to do with you?” I believe it is not only him, many people wanted to know the outcome. His answer was, it is exciting. This time it is very very different. First, a woman tried for the presidency, now a black American man, whose father was from Kenya. He even has a half brother still living in slum somewhere there. Interesting enough for me, who doesn’t give much for politics to read about it once in a while.
